What does a rational, highly organized system with clear hierarchies do to human beings and their sense of responsibility? How quickly are we led to make immoral decisions? The core idea of this project is inspired by the works of Hannah Arendt – the Jewish philosopher describes a new kind of murderer in her work The Banality of Evil – the "desk murderer“. Executed in the form of an interactive typewriter, visitors must answer questions, assess cases, and solve tasks in the form of a game. In the end, they must question and reflect on themselves and their decisions. Hannah Arendt refers to absolute obedience as a German phenomenon. Is that true?
