Family concerns us all – but for children it is the very center of their lives. This is where they grow up, where they are raised and shaped. In primary school, children begin to compare themselves with others. Family circumstances play a big role here, since in one class very different family contexts come together – sparking questions and sometimes even prejudices.
Through an entrance gate, young and adult visitors alike step into the village. Here, they are introduced to the topic and receive a token: their own front door key, which will accompany them through the exhibition as an interactive tool. Six different houses open up into unique visual and thematic worlds. At the center, the village square invites everyone to rest and exchange ideas.
